About the Practitioner

Stacy Breeden, Owner, Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Certified Reflexologist, and Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry Practioner.

My massage therapy training was through "The Tennessee School of Therapeutic Massage" in Knoxville, Tennessee.  In addition, I obtained a National Certification in Massage in order to be licensed in the State of Tennessee, which I did complete through the NCBTMB.  I obtained my training for Relexology through the "International Institute of Reflexology" and through the State of Tennessee received my Registered, Certified Reflexologist certification. I am currently a Professional member of ABMP, & TN Reflexology Association.  I have worked in various work settings along side others in the profession, on hands experience in a Reflexology group, as well as working along with area chiropractors and their patients in the area of massage therapy.   I have been self-employed at Gifts of Touch Massage and Wellness Center for 14 years.  I also have a certification in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry.  I am pursuing future massage modalities to add to my credentials to expand my knowledge in this field and most importantly, to help my clients pursue a better quality of health in their lives.

(Why I do what I do)is because I truly have a passion to help people with their health.  I do believe in the concept that regular maintenance of the body is the key to jump start and maintain a healthy body and lifestyle.  I see people on a daily basis dealing with stress and muscle tension.  I see them struggling with the emotional & traumatic effects as well as the chemical effects of stress on the body.  Also dealing with repetitive motion issues and the wear & tear on our body showing up years later & affecting our muscular & structual balance (homostasis) of the body.  Massage is considered a very relaxing way to help rid the body of stress and tension(and thought of as just a luxury to some) but now is being recognized in various settings-hospitals, doctor's offices, along with physical therapy, chiropractic offices, etc., as a therapeutic approach to relieve the pain, stress & tension that people are suffering with.  Massage is a holistic modality that helps to promote natural healing in the body.

Reflexology is very similar.  It is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the glands, organs, and parts of the body.  Stimulating these reflexes properly can help many health problems in a natural way, a type of preventative maintenance.  Reflexology is used primarily for relaxing tension but also improves nerve and blood supply, and helps nature to normalize.  It is a safe & effective way to better health and an aid for many chronic health conditions.
